Our team also provides expert consultancy to operators, developers, and manufacturers in the renewable and oil & gas industries. Looking forward to collaborating with you!
OUR RESEARCH

Structure Analysis
The foundation of an offshore wind turbine is a floating platform. These immense structures are designed similarly to Oil and Gas platforms and analysed with the use of shipbuilding methods. We use FEM and other means to make sure structures are not only durable, but optimal and economical.

Anchors
Torpedo anchors are an interesting new development in FOWT industry. An offshore platform anchor is quite different from one of a ship. It is installed in a different manner and may stay in place as long as decades. Therefore it is paramount that it holds the platform firmly in place.

Mooring Analysis
A FOWT operates in a special allocated region and stays put in place. It is of utmost importance to make sure that it does not collide with other platforms, that it does not capsize and even that its inclination does not exceed an allowable angle. All that is achieved by a proper mooring system design.
